Become an Official or Umpire


Thank you for your interest in becoming an Adult Slow-Pitch Softball or Youth (Girls), Fast-Pitch Umpire or Kickball Official. To be considered as an Umpire or Official, you must attend an  Orientation, Registration and Rules Meeting and a Field Training Day.  As a Sports Official you’ll enjoy one of the funnest and highest paying part-time jobs and side hustles available.

Basic requirements are:
- $30.00 per one hour game. 
-  3 to 4 Games Per Evening
- 2 to 5 Evening Per Week
- Flexible Schedule - No Weekends
- Must be at least 20 years of age and have YOUR OWN Transportation

* Rules and Training Meetings Start Middle of March
**Season Starts First of April and runs trough October

- No Experience, we will train you
- 1099 Independent Contractor
- Salt Lake and Davis Counties
- Choose your own schedule with the ArbiterSports online self-assign and Direct Deposit Payment System
 
If you are selected you will be required to register.  

Annual Registration of $65 includes:
- Uniform for 1st Year Umpires Includes Shirt & Hat
- Accident & Liability Insurance
  - $2,000,000 Liability Limit per Occurrence
  - $100,000 Secondary Accident Medical Coverage

2024 Registration and Meeting Schedule
- Tuesday March 12th 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM 
- Thursday March 14th 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM 
Location of Meetings: Redwood MPC (3100 South Redwood Road / Classroom

Field Training & Umpire Clinic
- Saturday March 23rd  9:00 AM to 12:00 AM
